about

'Obvious' was recorded by Dropkick in early 2006 and the release coincided with the band undertaking their first tour in July 2006. The original CD version was limited and homemade, to be sold at those gigs. To our knowledge, it has been unavailable since then.

This new 15th Anniversary version includes the original album, remastered by Andrew Taylor, along with 13 previously unavailable recordings from 2005/2006. These have been salvaged from old CDs, hard drives and minidiscs so may feature the occasional click, pop or hiss.
Notably, there are 2 songs that were later re-recorded for Andrew's first Boys with the Perpetual Nervousness album (Runaway / Southern Words) and Someone, that eventually was recorded for Andrew's first solo CD in 2015. The album also includes a version of the title track with a lead vocal from our friend, Andy Tucker, recorded in 2006. Although this version was never released, Andy did eventually record with Dropkick on 'Lucky That The Heart' from the Dropkick album, 'Patchwork'.
